What goes on ?

After a day at the office were i pretend to be a sharp dressed business woman its good coming home. My darling husband has cooked a nice diner and it could be time to relax. The only thing is there is a pregnant mare in the pasture who needs hay. SO out go the knee-high suede boots. I slip my feet in dark green rubber boots. In the barn i stuff a wheelbarrow with hay and off it goes. On this moonless night with a cold autumn wind i like to go home so i decide to take a sort cut. Crossing the beak over the 50 cm bridge would save me 10 minutes ! Armed with a flashlight i step on the small bridge. It’s so dark and the water beneath looks black and cold. When i’m half way there, the flashlight slips ! It rolls slowly to the edge of the bridge and there it stops. Now what? I can’t go on because the flashlight will fall in the water when i touch it, back it goes, slowly, foot by foot , backwards over the bridge. With firm ground under my feet i see the light still works, but it won’t last long, batteries are weak. I start running with my wheelbarrow. Cross the water 500 mtrs down stream and run back to the small bridge. Very carefull i pick up the flashlight and slowly i leave the bridge. Now i can go feeding the hay. In the meanwhile the batteries of the flashlight went empty ! In the absolute dark i find the pasture, open the gate and put my hand on the electric fence. Au ! I cross the pasture, water soacks in my boots. But, the horses are happy. Now the only thing i have to do is to get home without any accidents.

If anyone wonders what a female CEO will do when she doesn’t work, now you know.
